My name is Brett Matthew West and I am the author of this site. I am also the Site Coordinator for the wordpress.com site known as societyofoldfartsandjackasses that helps preserve the history, values, and traditions of Traditional Country Music.

So, what is Wombat about?
Wombat is a project the Society of Old Farts and Jackasses has finally convinced me I need to write. It is about the Billboard Number 1 Country Music songs of the 1940s, 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s.
